Is Facebook for old people?

I have been told that Facebook is for old people these days, so should we start calling it Wrinklebook?
I have had a look around and it seems they might be correct, all older people on Facebook or people my age and older. How did that happen, it used to only be for kids. Looks like they all moved away because we were watching them on Facebook and now that they are all grown up they have forgotten Facebook.
It is still one of the biggest social media companies around so obviously we adults offer better value in the long run so lets keep it this way and entice more to join.
It would seem twitter has gained a lot of the younger generation but you cannot add as much content as you would with Facebook, but you can interact more constantly so those of you who don't yet have a twitter account why don't you get one and leave your twitter detail under the comments below. I will follow you as I am sure all of us will. Soon the kids will discover we are there as well and make another social media company rich that we can find. We will keep on finding you kids you cannot hide.
I suppose most of us did not join for those reasons but just started to find social networking media useful & interesting as we were not in touch with it a few years ago.The kids have grown up now and Facebook has changed its face. If you have any concerns about getting involved in any other social network media, remember what you initially said about Facebook.
And remember I am not actually old & neither are you I am referring to anyone over 30.

FNB vs ANC

Wow and here I was thinking this was a country that was free and fair and that you could have some freedom of speech and perhaps an opinion about the countries future.
OOPS I WAS WRONG!!
FNB ( First National Bank) did a little thing were children could air their views on South Africa and its future but the ANC did not like some of the comments.
IF THE TRUTH HURTS SUCK IT UP IT"S COMING FROM YOUR CHILDREN YOU IDIOTS!!
Now poor old FNB trying to do something for our country is running around apologising.

One kid quoted:  The country is being overrun by poverty... while (President) Jacob Zuma is renovating his home

Another quoted: The government is only thinking for themselves.... I'm from a rural area and the government doesn't see what's happening

Response from the youth league:On Monday the ANC said it was appalled by the campaign and the ANC Youth League called it “treasonous”.

You really make me laugh come on South Africa stand together and vote them out of power it will teach everybody a good lesson. Do it before they become all powerful and you can't do anything.

How dare they comment & threaten on anything said in a free country especially by children, so now you the so called youth league call your children treasonous? Dumb ass the bank did not say it the children did.

The bank commented:

Samuels said FNB had found that young people in South Africa were incredibly hopeful and positive about the country's future.
“They are sharp critics, they love their country, but they are critical. We are talking about working together and we wanted to provide a platform for children to be heard,” she said.

See the bank should be in charge at least they care they don't have a president spending 65 mil on renovations to their house while while bull dosing down poor peoples homes due to town planning or closing aids care centers due to a lack of funds.

TAXIS in Pretoria & JHB

Why do we have to put up with them breaking the rules day in and day out? Putco buses are just as bad, clearly the drivers have no culture.
They cut you off drive over children push people of the road and allow their passengers who are obviously pigs to throw banana skins, packets and tins out of the window while driving.
Then when they do have an accident they run away like little cowards

How do these drivers get their licence?
Nobody ever complains and I hardly see any Metro police doing anything about it, probably to busy setting up speed traps or something.

How can we put a stop to this? Please add your comments at the bottom of the page by clicking on the word comments next to Rob G

Gun Laws

I see gun laws have become the topic of the day in the USA. It has been a topic for a long time here in South Africa. Here is the problem you have. The gun is not dangerous the person or animal holding it is.
Now you install gun laws that say the innocent public whom would really like to protect themselves or just have a gun for sport cannot have a gun or licence a gun and should hand in all their terrible weapons. You think gun crime will stop? If you do you are an idiot. Criminals rent guns out to other criminals in JHB for R5, stolen weapons are every were and they are not only stolen from legal gun owners they are purchased from some weird and wonderful places around the world. It is one of the worlds most lucrative trades.
If you could remove all the guns in the world that might solve your problem but you cannot do that now can you?
I would suggest try bringing  your children up properly, bring back national service in get some discipline into the youngsters of today.
They use guns in the army and the police but they don't go around murdering people for no reason particulary children generally because they understand why they cannot do these things. Society has taught them the correct way.

You will always have criminals no matter how you look at it and if they do not use one weapon they will use another somehow, lets be honest you can learn how to build a bomb online so why not a gun.

Don't disarm the innocent trying to protect themselves stop the criminals before they get to the crime.
A good example of this is a stalker cannot be stopped or arrested before they commit a crime, change these laws perhaps that will help I don't know I am not a police man nor a law maker but surly this must make some sense?
